Richard McCombs is a senior level executive who has led companies for over half his career, most recently as CEO or President of MBA Polymers, Inc., a VC/PE-backed company who is the global leader in recycling durable plastics from electronics, appliances and automobiles.
Under his twelve-year leadership at MBA, he developed and constructed three commercial scale facilities (China, Austria and UK) utilizing MBA's revolutionary plastics recycling technology. He retired from the CEO position at the beginning of 2012, and is now Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors.
During his career, he has started and led several manufacturing organizations in industries as diverse as wineries, rice, and plastics recycling, including living in Vietnam for three years in order to manage the Vietnam operations for American Rice.
